Justteachers are seeking a compassionate and skilled Interventions Instructor to join an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Boston starting January 2025. This role focuses on delivering targeted interventions to support students with challenging behaviour, Autism, and ADHD in their academic and personal development.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of SEMH students.
  • Work with small groups and individual learners to boost confidence, engagement, and progress in core areas.
  • Build positive relationships with students to create a supportive and trusting environment.
  • Manage challenging behaviours using effective de-escalation and positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies to ensure consistent and comprehensive support for learners.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviour.
  • A background in delivering interventions or targeted learning support is essential.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable learners.
  • A commitment to fostering the personal and academic growth of each student.
