Justteachers Recruitment Agency is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a KS3 SEN class based in Rugby. This full-time position is set to start in January 2025 and provides an exciting opportunity to support young learners with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons for students with SEN in a KS3 setting.
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions to students as needed.
  • Help students with a range of SEN, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to meet individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes the social and emotional development of students.
  • Assist with the monitoring and tracking of student progress and provide feedback where necessary.
  • Support students with daily activities and help manage their behaviour in a constructive way.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to supporting students.
  • Ability to adapt and modify learning activities to suit the needs of individual students.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
