About the Role:

Justteachers, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and supporting young people in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, helping them to reach their full potential.
  • Support students with additional learning needs, adapting activities where necessary.
  • Help to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to planning and preparation of lessons.
  • Help students with homework and revision for exams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Ability to support students with a range of learning needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and patient approach to working with young people.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant Certificate (Level 2 or 3) are advantageous but not essential.
