Job Description: Justteachers is currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September, offering the opportunity to inspire students in KS3 and KS4 through engaging and innovative Science lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in accordance with the national curriculum.
• Foster a passion for scientific inquiry and problem-solving through interactive experiments, projects, and practical work.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN and varying abilities.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Prepare students for GCSE Science exams, helping them develop the necessary analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to create a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and active participation.
• Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development to continually enhance your teaching practice.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Science or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Science at the secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of diverse abilities.
• Strong classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• A passion for science and a commitment to developing students’ knowledge and understanding of scientific principles.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and openness to new teaching strategies.
