We currently have a vacancy for a Maths Teacher in a local Cheshire High School on a permanent basis.

Applicants must have QTS and at least 6 months relevant experience. The school is looking for the successful candidate to start in Easter or as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will be able to successfully engage with young people and have the enthusiasm, commitment,passion and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils. You will be a Maths specialist who has the skills to teach across the ability and age range.

The school is popular and oversubscribed. It is an average-sized, mixed, comprehensive community school for pupils aged 11-18 years. It links with a neighboring school to make provision for sixth form students. There are 971 pupils on roll, aged 11-16 years, and 77 students in the sixth form. Though the number of pupils has risen over recent years, the school has retained the characteristics of a small school in its approachability. To accommodate the increased numbers, a new classroom block was being built during the time of the inspection.
